Office Administrator: Dennie Lieber
Dennie (Denyse) Lieber has been with Or Tzion, and its predecessor congregation, Or Chadash, since the start of the congregation. She and her husband Efrem moved to Fountain Hills from New Hampshire in 2002 and immediately became involved with the start-up congregation. Dennie volunteered to write and distribute the first synagogue bulletin, “The New Light News,” and continued producing that communications piece for the next six years. Along the way, she served on the Board of Directors and volunteered for more committees than she can recall. When Or Chadash hired its first Rabbi and needed a part-time office assistant, Dennie accepted the position, working 20 hours a week for the congregation. That job evolved into a full-time position as our congregation grew. Prior to her involvement with Or Chadash, Dennie spent 28 years as a litigation paralegal for law firms in Wilmington, DE, Chicago, IL, Nashua, NH and Phoenix. She has held leadership roles with Hadassah chapters in New Hampshire and Phoenix and served on the Board of Directors of Jewish Community Centers in Chicago and Wilmington. Dennie and Efrem have two children, Sam (married to Sherri) and Amy and three grandkids, Ethan, Sarah and Adam.Contact

With a passion for Jewish identity through engagement, Michelle brings creativity and dedication to the Or Tzion family in her role as Program Director. Jewish education, holiday celebrations, and social events have always been important to Michelle. Growing up, she was part of a neighborhood *havurah* (Jewish social group), and a member of Kadima and USY. She attended Alexander Muss High School in Israel, was in Genesis at Brandeis University, and loved spending summers at Camp Ramah in New England. Michelle earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Brandeis University. Since moving to Scottsdale in 2010, Michelle has worked with Chabad of Phoenix, Valley Beit Midrash, Start Me Up, Desert Gathering Jewish Musical Festival, Women’s Philanthropy, Limmud AZ, and many other Jewish organizations in our community. She was Congregation Or Chadash’s first Education Director. In her free time, Michelle enjoys epicurean cooking and restaurants, concerts and music festivals, working out with her mini dachshund Eloise Lump, and laughing with her friends and family. Religious School Admin/Youth Advisor: Stephanie Monier
Stephanie Monier joined Congregation Or Tzion in August 2015 as an assistant to both the religious school and office staff. She also serves as our youth advisor. Born in Brooklyn, NY she moved to Arizona at age nine and fell in love with the desert at first sight. With a strong background in customer service and over 12 years of childcare experience (which started with a babysitting certification course at the JCC) she is happy to help anywhere she is needed. When she’s not working, she spends her time going to concerts, being the “best baker ever” and being a crazy dog mom to the cutest pups ever, Benjamin and Zoe.
