Making and delivering dog treats to dog shelters
Prep Preheat oven to 350ºF. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.Mix Biscuit Dough. In a large bowl, mix together all of the ingredients until incorporated. The dough will be pretty stiff and should stick to itself. If you need to adjust the consistency, add more water or flour, one tablespoon at a time.
Roll Dough + Cut Biscuits. Dust your flat work surface and rolling pin with whole wheat flour. Roll out your dough until it’s 1/3″ to 1/4″ thick – Cut into squares or rectangles or cut out with cookie cutters. Place them on the lined parchment paper about 1/2″ apart (they don’t expand or rise much). Re-roll the scraps and cut biscuits until you run out.
Bake the biscuits for 30-40 minutes (varies depending on how thick yours are) until stiff to the touch but tender in the midle. The biscuits won’t be overly crisp. Cool them completely before feeding them to your pup! To store, keep them in an airtight container for up to 5 days or in a zip-top bag in the freezer for weeks.
