Rabbi Zari Sussman

Rabbi Zari Sussman

Director of Lifelong Learning and Engagement

Rabbi Zari Sussman is a graduate of the Ziegler School for Rabbinic Studies in Los Angeles with a concentration in Halacha, Jewish law. Her penchant for the logic of the law comes as no surprise as she had previously worked for fifteen years as a software engineer.

Rabbi Sussman lived in Jerusalem and studied at the Conservative Yeshivah for two years prior and one year during rabbinical school. In Israel, Rabbi Sussman was a fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute and served as a rabbinic intern at Kehillat Netzach Israel in Ashkelon.

Upon returning, Rabbi Sussman was a Leffell fellow for AIPAC. She served as a rabbinic intern for both Temple Ramat Zion and Sinai Temple in Los Angeles.

Since ordination, Rabbi Sussman has served at Temple Sholom in Ontario, California. Her biggest joy is education; imparting Jewish skills and values so students can lead more meaningful lives, finding a place for themselves in the Jewish and greater world community.

In her free time, Rabbi Sussman enjoys playing iPhone games like Soduku and snuggling her cat, Cinnamon.
